Weather King desires happy and satisfied customers, and therefore, will repair or replace any item or issue with its products which would not be considered consistent with the service one could reasonably expect from a portable, outdoor storage building. Therefore, the purpose of this document is to address certain specifics of Weather King’s Warranty, and to more clearly define what Weather King considers reasonable issues. Weather King warrants to the purchaser that their building is free of defects with regards to both craftsmanship and materials upon delivery, and will repair or replace any component that does not provide reasonable service under normal use for a period of three years (3) from the date of purchase of a new building. Buildings discounted for age or damage are sold “as is” and do not carry any implied warranty. Such action will be based upon Weather King’s examination and satisfaction that any such defects merit Warranty coverage, and once completed, shall constitute fulfillment of all liabilities and obligations of Weather King under this Warranty. Furthermore, this Warranty will not apply to any Weather King products, or any part thereof, which has been damaged by weather, earthquake, hail, wind, micro bursts, fire, water, flood, earth movement, accident, other natural event, theft, vandalism, act of God, or any such casualty which is customarily covered by Homeowners’ Insurance. This Warranty does not cover damages to the barn’s contents, or any other personal property. Also, certain actions will void the Warranty, and include, but are not limited to, alterations and modifications such as ramps, steps, ladders, decks, or other modifications that have been made by the customer, or third parties. This Warranty does not cover broken windows or glass not reported at the time of the initial delivery and setup. This Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of any materials or products from normal use that can occur over time, and which can include cosmetic changes in the appearance of wood or metal materials or products, that are not structural. This Warranty does not cover missing or lost keys. This Warranty does not cover damage caused by any other misuse, alteration, neglect, improper maintenance, or abuse not specifically described in the preceding. Multiple trips to re-level a building may indicate an unsuitable foundation or ground condition, in which case those trips may be determined by Weather King to not be covered by this Warranty. In addition, Weather King makes no warranties whatsoever with respect to materials, accessories, or parts incorporated into any storage building whereby the supplier or manufacturer of those materials, accessories, or parts have warranties on such materials, accessories, or parts which exceed the warranty set forth above. Weather King assumes no liability for said materials, accessories, or parts, and the purchaser of the barn must assert any claim under such warranties against any such supplier or manufacturer. At the sole discretion of Weather King, Weather King may decide to include under its Warranty the parts and accessories from other manufacturers described herein. Finally, with regard to pre-owned barns, this Warranty does not cover any issues or problems arising from alterations, additions, or modifications of any kind made by previous renters and/or owners of the barn.
Delivery & Setup Weather King Portable Buildings provides delivery of the buildings we sell. Delivery will go smoothly when proper arrangements are made in advance. Free delivery and set-up only includes one trip to the specified delivery location located within 50 odometer miles from the nearest Weather King Sales Center. Set-up includes leveling the portable building with treated wood blocks provided by the delivery driver; or suitable 4” flat solid concrete blocks available at the site and provided by the Customer. Buildings are set on skids at grade with ‘treated wood shims’ used to level the building. Drivers will not set a building above 6” from ground level without an extra cost. Wood or 4”flat solid concrete blocks above 6” in height may require extra time and material which the customer must agree to pay directly to the driver at the time of delivery. The driver will level the building when it is delivered initially. If the buildings settle after being loaded with belongings this is not a warranty issue. If the driver is needed to go back to re level that will be the responsibility of the customer. Any state or local requirement for ground ties or anchoring is the responsibility of the customer.
